Tai Woodville is a lifelong singer and songwriter from a musical family, writing songs since the age of ten and teaching herself guitar as a teenager. A warm-toned mezzo soprano with a wide stylistic range—spanning classic country, indie rock, neo-folk, indietronica, and avant-pop—Tai brings both intimacy and breadth to her songwriting.
Under the moniker Flight Call, she released her electronic debut HOMEWORLD in 2022, praised by Vortex Music Magazine as “healing, disarming, diaphanous, prismatic, piercing, and lyrical… a light-filled, avant-pop journey from inner space to outer space.” Listen to HOMEWORLD
Previously, Tai fronted the indie rock trio Sugar in Wartime, a fixture in the Los Angeles music scene from 2004–2007. Their album Out of the Woods (2007) and award-winning music video earned them a loyal West Coast following. Listen here | Watch video
