Tai Woodville is a lifelong singer and songwriter from a musical family. She has been writing songs since she was ten years old. As a teenager she taught herself guitar. She is a warm-toned mezzo soprano with a diverse range of songwriting styles (from classic country to indie rock, neo-folk to indietronica and avant pop.) In the summer of 2002, Tai released an electronic music album as Flight Call, praised by Vortex Music Magazine as "healing, disarming, diaphanous, prismatic, piercing, and lyrical [...] a light-filled, avant-pop journey from inner space to outer space."
